Our mission is to promote safety, health and environmental improvement in the exploration and production of oil and gas in Arkansas operations.

The STEPS Network fosters a work environment that relies upon open communication and trust.

STEPS stands for Service, Transmission, Exploration & Production Safety. The Arkansas chapter is part of a national coalition of networks dedicated to “The Boots on the Ground!”

Arkansas STEPS began in 2011 through the work of the Arkansas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners association’s Regulatory Committee. Today, it is a program of the Arkansas Energy Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization created to offer education and training programs and opportunities to Arkansas students and educators; to provide appropriate training and educational opportunities to persons employed in the energy industry; to raise the level of public awareness of energy issues; and, for other related energy education programs and projects.
